Kindness and how it is located
To cover you at night they give you some "rags" which are individual blankets

Good location, close to Genova Brignole station. Within walking distance of nearly all the attractions and shopping in Genoa. Very good continental breakfast. Decent size rooms with air conditioning and a modern bathroom.
An English language station on the tv but then that's not really important if you have an iPhone, laptop or tablet.

Nice location, about 15min walking from the city center and just few steps from the market. The room was big and clean. Also the staff was very friendly and polite.
The hotel was very old. The room's furniture was very old and generally had nothing to do with the photos. It was expensive comparing to a new hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was small. The television reception a bit poor. Internet did not work in my room and the use of special codes made it complicated and unreliable. Generally poor value for the high price.

I liked the location as it was easy to get around and there were plenty of things to do there.

Clean bathroom, a lot of tv channels.
The person working in reception at night was really unfriendly. When I arrived he gave me wrong information which resulted in a parking ticket. He also told that the bars in Porto Antico close at 10.30pm and I did not go out first night. When I went there second night I noticed that they close maybe 2.30 or 3.00am. The Internet was also not working very well in the hotel.

5 minute walk to train station. Only stayed as a base to get down to Portofino.
At check-in they said we didn't have a reservation even though I showed them my printed email confirmation from Booked.net. They did give us a triple room at the same price. Just a place to rest your head. Breakfast not very good except for the cappuccinos!

It's quite old fashioned, the furniture is old and not very confortable.

Very freindly hotel staff.
Room looked like something out of a horror movie (flickering florescent lights, high ceilings and very empty room with tiny tv that barely worked, echo in room made it hard for conversation). Elevator so small that two of us (slim ppl) barely fit with backpacks. Breakfast buffet was terrible.
